Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Invicto - Details
On July 5th, the new Invicto MPV will be introduced in India. However, it won't be a brand-new car because it's essentially a Toyota Innova Hycross. The new multi-purpose vehicle is reminiscent of the Hycross. Recent photographs, however, reveal the transformation. Dual slats of chrome decorate the new and improved front grille. The new design also includes a new front bumper. The LED daytime running lights appear to be more compact than those of the Toyota sister. In addition, fresh two-tone alloy wheels with painted wheel arches are used for the profile. Redesigned LED taillights, perhaps partially influenced by the Grand Vitara, adorn the vehicle's rear end. The MPV's interior is also very similar to the Hycross's.
The vehicle shown here appears to be show-ready, so we expect deliveries to start soon after its debut. Since Hycross is having problems in this area, Maruti will concentrate on getting its deliveries made on time. Maruti's ace in the hole is the two-year delivery window given to Hycross customers. The interiors will be styled after the Microsoft emblem. Invicto will include such amenities as Ottoman seats, leather upholstery, 360-degree parking assistance, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, etc.
It will have the option of a single gasoline engine under the hood. It has a powerful hybrid drivetrain and a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol powerplant. This motor produces a maximum of 183 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. Just the e-CVT gearbox will be available for purchase. Since no manual gearbox has ever been provided by Maruti before, the Invicto will also make history by being the first fully automatic Maruti.
Verdict
With the imminent release of the Invicto, Maruti has been stocking up on the MPV for their dealer lots. Maruti anticipates a large demand for the Invicto, so they realise that meeting that deadline is crucial. We anticipate that it will cost at least Rs 50,000 upon its release on the 5th of July, making it more expensive than the Hycross. This is because Maruti must pay Toyota a royalty for using the Invicto name.
